Hi, my name is John from @littoraldesign
and I make home living and decor inspired items.
For the last ten years I've been a Lighting technician at Glyndebourne opera house. Usually my schedule would consist of creating electrical wizardry for the opera world. This time of year I'd currently be on tour around the uk, it's been weird seeing the outside world and not the dark wings of a stage!
During these crazy times of no shows and job uncertainty, I decided to spend my time tidying out my garage and creating a workshop where I could carry on being creative. My first project involved upcycling an old beaten up railway lantern into a beautiful practical lamp! Then when I was out and about walking the beaches of Eastbourne, I took some snaps on my camera, printed them onto canvas and my first wall art collection was born. I decided why not share these things with everyone through Etsy? That's when littoral design was born!
My range of items has expanded into allsorts of wonderful home inspired pieces, from mirrors to lamps and shelves, you can even grab yourself a littoral design baseball hat!
I’ve recently started a commission service which has so far been a success, used by a few happy customers with great ideas! So if you have an idea that you'd like to make a reality, give me a message and let's get building! New items are due to be added throughout December and I try to get my products sent next day so they'll be with you asap! December discounts have now been applied to our shop.
