ETCH Clothing

An amateur ballet dancer since I was 3, my love for the stage and the magic of theatre drove me to train in costume making, and I ended up landing my dream job at the Royal Opera House in Covent Garden. It was a dream come true but sadly got spirited away by the pandemic. I am passionate about fabric, sewing, and storytelling, and whilst grieving for my lost dream job, like so many of us, I started making masks for my local community. I also started designing and making some unique, vintage inspired clothes. These are practical and versatile every day garments, with a vintage twist. Each piece is unique. I have designed them hoping they can bring their owners some joy, in the same way that theatre does to its audience ! I also offer some masks and accessories, and welcome commissions. All the items are handmade by me in my studio in Southend-on-Sea, Essex, from material sourced locally. Whenever possible I buy from other local small businesses (I love my local family owned fabric shops), and use fabric that would otherwise become waste. By buying something from me you will be helping the environment and supporting local businesses, as well as acquiring something unique !
