Charlotte Campbell Collection

Hello! I’m Charlotte and I started @thecharlottecampbellcollection in Lockdown One last year. I create hand-crafted, traditional lampshades using gorgeous fabrics, trims and fringing which create a new look and feel in any personal space. Pre-pandemic I worked for eight years in theatre costume and wardrobe in London and on tour around the country.

I’ve wanted to put my lampshades out into the world for years, so I jumped at the chance when the pandemic hit! I fell in love with traditional lampshade making by accident after picking up some fabric a colleague was getting rid of and deciding to try something new with it. Not only did I find I loved making lampshades but it also completely changed my relationship with my flat; making my tiny rental a unique, personal and cosy space that felt like home! I take commissions and sell premade shades on my etsy (link in my insta bio!)

[Image descriptions:

Left: A small dome lampshade in a warm brown velvet with a geometric print in teal and cream covers the shade in a diagonal pattern with a matching long teal fringing around the scalloped base. It stands on a small wooden lamp with two cushions in the same fabric stacked on top of eachother sitting to the left of the shade.

Middle: two wooden floor lamps with two differently shaped lampshades; one is a deep dome with a reverse scalloped edge and the other is a shallow shade with a scalloped edge. They're covered in a Libertys floral silk in black, pink, blue and green with long grey fringing on both shades. They stand next to a wooden chest of drawers with a vase of flowers and a succulent plant on top.

Right: A peach coloured curvy dome shaped shade with a reverse scalloped edge on both the top and bottom. It has long cream fringing overlaid with light yellow beads stitched along the bottom. Soft light is cast over the shade, coming from the left hand side.]
