Hey, I'm Rosanne, although most people call me Rosie! I'm a freelance trumpet player living in London, and before Lockdown I was performing in everything from West End theatre shows, to German Oompah Bands.
In May, struggling with an outlet for my creativity, I decided to Google 'artsy hobbies to take up', and hey presto, I found Macramé! 2 months later my home was covered in wall hangings and plant hangers, and when people started asking to buy my pieces, I decided to create alterKNOT.
I love the creativity and freedom Macramé brings to my life; I typically start with a huge spool of rope and often just see where it takes me. I've created tasselled boobies, plant pods, colourful wall hangings, and yoga bags! I am a huge lover of nature, the ocean and our planet, so I enjoy incorporating hand sourced driftwood, seashells and using recycled cotton in my pieces.
